INFLUENCE OF BLOWING PARAMETERS AND SLAG REGIME ON SILICON AND SULFUR CONTENT IN BLAST-FURNACE CAST IRON

At two blast furnaces (BF) with a volume of 1386 and 1500 m³, the influence parameters slag modes on content silicon sulfur in cast iron was investigated. The mode evaluated by consumption pulverized coal fuel (PCF) oxygen, its basicity CaO / SiO₂. It found that injection into hearth m³ BF range flow rates from 108 to 120 g/m³·s, 90 110 g/m³·s accompanied decrease iron. deterioration transition an increase is explained complex effect factors retard reduction oxides. Extreme relationships were also established between intensity melting terms oxygen under study. extreme dependences studied variables are due dual oxides: time contact metal furnace gases reduces possibility metal, zone improves these possibilities. When operating calcium SiO₂ change 0.9 1.3 without removing operation periods associated conditions, absence dependence CaO/SiO₂ modulus found/ In turn this indicated complexity influencing same changes different furnace, noticeable observed, which indicates decisive role process blast-furnace desulfurization.
